Product Description

The use of optoelectronic sensors in potentially explosive areas requires specially protected devices. Our extensive product line offers powerful sensors in all common technologies.

the sensors of the  Ex series are designed as diffuse reflection light scanners, retro-reflective photoelectric sensors or throughbeam photoelectric sensors and reliably detect objects at distances between 300 mm and 12 m. The intrinsically safe sensors transmit switching signals to the VS 403 isolated switching amplifier by way of the NAMUR interface. The temperature class for explosive gas areas is T6; for explosive dust areas it is 80°C.

The sensors are developed for all category 3G and 3D applications. With their small dimensions, they fit even in constrained spaces. The sensors and the protective housing are made of stainless steel and are also suitable for demanding operating conditions.

Currently available are retro-reflective photoelectric sensors and scanners with background suppression.
